    Edye is the founder of The De Marco Group, at Merrill Lynch, in Providence. For almost four decades, she has dedicated her career to delivering highly personalized wealth management advice and guidance to help families focus on living their lives to the fullest. Her Group's mission is "To have a meaningful and lasting impact on the families they serve, to help them live the best life possible with given resources and to give them a sense of financial well-being”.

    The De Marco Group helps clients manage both the accumulation and distribution phases of their financial lives. They advise, guide and assist multiple generations in moving towards desired lifestyles and legacies for themselves, their families and favorite charitable causes. The group specializes in pre-sale planning for business owners.

    Edye was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, in 2006.  She has been recognized by Barron’s as a Top 100 Woman Financial Advisor (’17), a Top 1000 Financial Advisor (‘09-‘13) and Top 1200 Financial Advisor  (’14-’19). She has been recognized by Forbes, as a Best-in-State Financial Advisor (’18, ’19 and ‘20) and as a Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisor (’19).  Edye is also the recipient of the Ronald McDonald House 2016 Women’s Leadership Award for consistently making a positive impact and for demonstrating exceptional leadership in the Rhode Island community

    A native of Los Angeles, Edye attended Santa Clara University where she earned her degree in Finance.   As an adoptive parent, Edye serves on the Board of Foster Forward, an organization caring for foster youth and their families. She also serves on the Board of Governors for Bradley Hospital, the nation’s first psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents.  She and her husband, Tom, live in Tiverton, RI, with their college-age son. Edye enjoys many things French and Italian, including language, art, food, wine, and travel.  Edye also enjoys collecting bourbon.

    Session Two: An Introduction to Donor Advised Funds

    Our speaker will discuss this national growing trend of charitable giving. Learn how to manage the promotion, administration and stewardship of donor advised funds.  Hear about regulation and recent developments in the law affecting your donors’ considerations when making their donor advised fund gift.

    Elizabeth O. Manchester

    Counsel, Partridge, Snow & Hahn, LLP, Vice-President, PPP-RI

    Elizabeth represents tax-exempt entities, centered on compliance, charitable gift planning issues and the implementation of planned and estate-giving strategies, and best practices. She advises charitable institutions and institutions of higher learning about tax benefits available to donors, to assist in discussions with donors appropriately to advance their mission. She assists institutions with the inception of planned giving programs.

    Elizabeth also counsels individuals, families, and fiduciaries on all aspects of estate planning, estate settlement and trust administration in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including planning and tax strategies designed to further the unique goals of clients.

    Liz holds an undergraduate degree and an M.B.A. from Providence College and is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law.  She is admitted to practice law in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  She is involved with community activities, including the Rhode Island Communities for Addiction Recovery Efforts, The Rhode Island Foundation, Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program, and the Roger Williams University School of Law Pro Bono Collaborative.
