Edye is the founder of The De Marco Group, at Merrill Lynch, in Providence. A native of Los Angeles, Edye attended Santa Clara University where she earned her degree in Finance. As an adoptive parent, Edye serves on the Board of Foster Forward, an organization caring for foster youth and their families. She also serves on the Board of Governors for Bradley Hospital, the nation’s first psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents. She and her husband, Tom, live in Tiverton, RI, with their college-age son. Edye enjoys many things French and Italian, including language, art, food, wine, and travel. Edye also enjoys collecting bourbon.

Our speaker will discuss this national growing trend of charitable giving. Learn how to manage the promotion, administration and stewardship of donor advised funds. Hear about regulation and recent developments in the law affecting your donors’ considerations when making their donor advised fund gift.

Elizabeth represents tax-exempt entities, centered on compliance, charitable gift planning issues and the implementation of planned and estate-giving strategies, and best practices. She advises charitable institutions and institutions of higher learning about tax benefits available to donors, to assist in discussions with donors appropriately to advance their mission. She assists institutions with the inception of planned giving programs.
Elizabeth also counsels individuals, families, and fiduciaries on all aspects of estate planning, estate settlement and trust administration in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including planning and tax strategies designed to further the unique goals of clients.
Liz holds an undergraduate degree and an M.B.A. from Providence College and is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She is involved with community activities, including the Rhode Island Communities for Addiction Recovery Efforts, The Rhode Island Foundation, Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program, and the Roger Williams University School of Law Pro Bono Collaborative.
